In the Office:

211 Internship: Work with our Community Impact team to participate in planning activities and implementation of the 211 program within the Lake County community, including data collection, visiting locally owned businesses, attending community events, and developing related materials. Information Technology: Work with our IT Department to provide support in a wide variety of areas. You will ensure that all computers are running with the latest updates, provide computer support to staff as needed, installation of programs, and other projects surrounding our IT operations. This internship requires a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with PC is a plus.

Marketing/Communications: Work with the Marketing Department independently and with the team to implement and coordinate press and community relations through publicity and promotion with the press, agencies, companies and staff. In the Community:

Community Impact Program Communications: This position works with staff, volunteers and clients of our Success By 6 and Youth Success education programming. The intern will be in charge of recruiting and scheduling, planning/implementing projects that contribute to our programs when needed. Other duties could include researching best practices and gathering information about needed programs. Requires excellent verbal communication skills. The ability to speak English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

Success By 6 and Community Impact Intern: This position will support the efforts of United Way of Lake County by assisting in the implementation of the Success By 6 program and initiatives as well as assisting with other Community Impact initiatives. Summer Community Impact Internship: This position will assist schools and communities in addressing summer learning loss. The summer interns will assist in our offices and work with summer programs in Lake County to plan and implement academic summer programs for elementary and preschool-age children. This position will also support the efforts of United Way of Lake County by assisting in the implementation of Community Impact programs and projects. Fluent Spanish is a plus. (unpaid internship)
