Type 'LinkedIn Guide' for my free PDF (*no opt-in required*) QUESTION: "Should I only connect with prospective clients...?" [What do you think?] Personally I think NO. I cultivate a wider network because I see greater value for all parties with this approach. For example, I'll connect with people who read my articles or watch my videos and people I know socially. And wider network means I can facilitate more useful introductions. People also change roles and start new businesses all the time, plus a broader network = more referrals + word of mouth. However my approach goes against what some LinkedIn consultants suggest... Some say only connect with potential clients.... because they will be the ones who buy from you. That's fair, but I'd also suggest it could be a bit short sighted. Over to you. LinkedIn Guide and thank you.
It's important to connect and 'keep doors open' as you never know where people will end up. It's important to have contacts. I am very linked out of Linked In, though.
