The trend-setting Hotel Grano de Oro is a love story in its own right with a compelling and authentic narrative. Its Canadian owners fell head-over-heels for Costa Rica and the cosmopolitan energy of San Jose which inspired them to open the first boutique hotel in the city.
A lovingly restored tropical Victorian property, Hotel Grano de Oro opened its doors in 1991 and was subsequently expanded to meet popular demand including the genius addition of its French - Costa Rican restaurant winning worldwide acclaim as one of the best restaurants in Costa Rica.
