This time of year we celebrate the end of a fun and exciting season of UnTours. We also celebrate Untourists who have shared their photos. In November, we put 12 of our favorite UnTours Photo Contest entries up for popular vote, and the people have spoken.
The 2019 winner is:
Karen Munoz! She traveled with her husband and sister-in-law in the Scottish Highlands and Central Scotland, making some furry friends along the way.
This was Karen’s second Untour. She traveled with a large group to Spain a few years back, spending time on our Andalusia and Barcelona UnTours.
Of Scotland, Karen says:
This was a wonderful UnTours trip. I cannot say enough good things about Val, our contact person in Central Scotland, and then Duncan in the Highlands. The accommodations were great.
We happened to mention to Val, who’s got this wonderful, cheery personality, that my husband loves to play golf. In fact we kind of timed our trip around the open which was being held in Carnoustie. The beauty of it was that we were able to take a train right from Stirling to Carnoustie. We literally got off the train, and across the street was the golf course.
There was a golf course in the Highlands area that my husband was raving about and by the time we got to the Highlands, Val had contacted Duncan. When we met with him he had all the information about how my husband could play golf at Nairn and rent clubs and do the whole thing!
The Scottish people could not have been nicer. We had a wonderful time. I just can’t say enough good things about this particular trip and highly recommend it to anyone. I’d love to go back to Scotland. It was great, and UnTours again did a great job.
