For your fertility journey, it's time to get fearless, baby fearlessly fertile. Let's do this. Welcome to the Fearlessly Fertile Podcast, episode 57, Empowerment in Uncertainty.

Hey loves, I am so honored and delighted to be with you today. At the time of this recording, there is so much crazy shit going on in cities all over the world. Millions of us are at home as a result of a mandatory or strongly encouraged self quarantine. Our lives are disrupted in ways that weeks ago seemed pretty fucking unimaginable.

The stock market is all over the place, bars, restaurants, shops, churches, and so many of the places that we sometimes take for granted as a constant in our daily lives. are shut down indefinitely, with some, perhaps shuddering, for good. Shit is changing by the hour, it seems. What's interesting, as an observer, is in times like this, even though we haven't quite faced anything exactly like this, It's interesting where people put their attention.

There are those who are freaking out, running to hoard toilet paper, hand sanitizer, ramen, and flats of water without taking a moment to think critically about what they would actually need if faced with COVID 19 in their home, like cold or flu medications to help ease but not cure the symptoms, vitamin supplements, fresh, nutritious food, perhaps?

It blew my mind the other day when I was in the store and vitamin rich produce was plentiful, but fucking stovetop stuffing was sold out. Crazy. This is the interesting nature of uncertainty. It makes our reptilian, predictability preferring brains go bonkers. Instead of taking a moment to step back, breathe, and make empowered choices, With all of the information we have, there will be those who let fear turn them into helpless, panicking deer in headlights.

Even worse, there will be some who will take the equally perilous route of expecting someone else to to save them instead of committing to staunch personal responsibility. Because let's be real, in the context of what's going on in the world today, relying 100 percent on first responders, hospitals, politicians, local, state, and federal governments to take care of your ass in times like these is f*****g infantile.

The real truth is that when the shit gets really bad, You are your first responder. Do you really think police, firemen, doctors, nurses, and the other people we often take for granted will be there, won't get sick? Do you honestly believe it will be business as usual when you dial 9 1 1 or go to a hospital?

F**k no. That's why we're all on lockdown, because they're trying to avoid hospitals and medical resources from being crushed under the possible weight of what they predict could be the demand if shit gets really out of control. Now, you might be thinking, what the fuck, Roseanne, is this the Fearlessly Fertile podcast, or did I somehow accidentally download some Do...
