(from vines on very shallow soil over rock): Highly aromatic nose combines fresh apricot, almond paste and flowers. Dense, fat and thick on entry, then firmly structured on the back end, with pineapple and lichee flavors enlivened by crushed stone and an almost metallic minerality. This very tactile wine will need at least a few years of aging to develop more give. Perhaps a bit hardened today by CO2 but long on potential. Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Media
