QUESTION: What should my no.1 marketing focus be? MY ANSWER: "The relationship with your audience." You always want to be growing your audience, but more importantly, strengthening the relationship you’ve got with them. Here are a few steps that I recommend following: STEP 1: Build the relationship with your audience, 1-on-1. Introduce yourself to people on LinkedIn and have conversations with them. It’s powerful and easy to do, but of course, it’s manual and takes a bit of time (so most people don't do it!). But it’s the best starting place. STEP 2: Develop an email marketing relationship with your audience. You really want to have a system where you invite people to join your email list by offering something of value like flagship content or a useful webinar. STEP 3: Build a marketing system with a clear 'new client pathway'. Create this journey by putting building blocks in place where people can get to know, like and trust you, and then express interest and hire you. If you do this properly, you'll build the most valuable asset in your company --- an audience that wants to do business with you! What are your thoughts? #marketing #business #linkedin

It seems like there is simply too much noise in this new digital marketing stream to even hook that fish.  Swarovski giveaways even (no clicks).  No one seems to have that much attention any more.  I know I don't.  Can we work out how to fix that?  https://giphy.com/gifs/8F9wmbY1NvZU4/html5
